Job summary

Cytel Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks an experienced data scientist to support epidemiology and real-world evidence analytics. You will collaborate with epidemiologists to prepare RWD, conduct analyses, and present results to clients.

The role requires a Master’s/PhD in a related field and strong SQL, SAS or R skills; familiarity with Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truveta, and UK Biobank is a plus. Excellent communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related field (epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, economics) and 5+ years of experience in RWE analytics for pharma, CRO, or academia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR)
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain relevant data extracts for research studies consistent with study protocols
• Create analytical databases from data extracts to facilitate conduct of data analyses
• Conduct analyses consistent with methods set forth in study protocols and analysis plans
• Produce tables and figures for discussions with investigators, clients, and study reports
• Present results internally and to clients
• Assist in preparation of study reports and other deliverables
• May have supervisory responsibilities in the future
