Job summary

Cytel Inc. is seeking a skilled epidemiology/statistics professional to support Real World Data analytics, planning, and reporting for pharmaceutical studies.

You will collaborate with epidemiologists, data vendors, and stakeholders to design analyses leveraging claims and EHR data. Applicants should hold a Master’s or PhD in a related field with 5+ years of RWE experience, be proficient in SQL and SAS or R, and have expertise with Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truveta, and UK Biobank.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, or economics with 5+ years of RWE analytics experience.
• Proficiency in SQL is required; SAS or R proficiency is required.
• Deep expertise analyzing RWE data sources such as Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truveta, and UK Biobank; experience with clinical trial or registry data.
• Familiarity with relational databases and understanding of claims and ancillary file layouts.
• Experience with regression, longitudinal models, logistic, Cox, GLM/GEE, survival analyses, and propensity weighting.
• Excellent project management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to summarize and present evidence effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans using large RWD sources (claims and/or EHR).
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain relevant data extracts for studies.
• Create analytical databases from data extracts to enable analyses.
• Conduct analyses per study protocols and analysis plans.
• Produce tables and figures for discussions with investigators and clients; contribute to study reports.
• Present results internally and to clients.
• Assist in preparation of study reports and deliverables.
• Potential supervisory responsibilities in the future.
