Job summary

Cytel is seeking a senior epidemiology data scientist to support Real World Data (RWD) analyses. You will prepare data, design analytic plans, and advise on strategies for observational studies using large RWD sources (claims/EHR).

Proficiency in SQL and SAS or R is required, with deep experience in Optum Clinformatics, Truveta, and UK Biobank. You will collaborate with epidemiologists and stakeholders, develop analysis pipelines, and present results to clients while potentially supervising

Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology/biostatistics/statistics/bioinformatics/economics with 5+ years in RWE analytics.
Proficiency in SQL plus SAS or R is required.
Deep experience analyzing RWE sources (Optum Clinformatics, Truveta, UK Biobank) and related clinical data.
Familiarity with relational databases and claims data layouts.
Strong stats skills: regression, survival, Cox, GLM/GEE, propensity weighting.

Responsibilities

Prepare Real World data for epidemiology analyses and advise on analytic strategies.
Program and conduct statistical analyses, code data, and create analysis algorithms.
Build analytical databases from data extracts to enable analyses.
Produce tables/figures for investigators, clients, and study reports.
Present results internally and to clients; assist in study reports.
Potential supervisory responsibilities in the future.
