Job summary

Merck in the United States (Denver area) seeks a Senior Territory Representative to drive Animal Health product sales within a defined territory. You will tailor customer discussions, develop account plans, and partner with distribution to grow key accounts.

You will work in a customer-centric field sales team, travel up to 50% including some overnights, and contribute to strategic initiatives and education through partnerships with leadership and field services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 10+ years of sales experience OR a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of sales experience.
• 3 years of account management experience.
• Experience within the Ruminant Industry.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each customer; tailors discussions to needs.
• Primary contact for assigned customers; meets with decision makers to identify opportunities.
• Develop customer strategy and account plans to drive sales growth.
• Collaborate with National Account Managers and Distribution Partners to focus on accounts.
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget.
