Job summary

Merck invites applications for a Territory Representative to drive sales of Animal Health cattle products within the US territory. You will engage with beef producers, tailor discussions to customer needs, and partner with sales teams to expand account opportunities.

The role requires effective communication, presentation skills, and the ability to travel overnight. A background in beef cattle and strong customer relationship skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Beef cattle industry familiarity required.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to use an iPad.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each customer; customizes discussions based on customer needs.
• Primary point of contact for assigned customers; meets with key decision makers to identify opportunities.
• Develop customer strategy and account plans to drive sales growth for Animal Health products.
• Collaborate with National Account Managers and Distribution Partners to maintain account focus.
• Work across species teams to broaden knowledge of product portfolio.
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget.
• Develop and deliver offerings addressing customer needs in collaboration with leadership.
