Nortal is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to translate complex requirements into robust code that powers our core platform.

The role emphasizes ownership, mentoring, and continuous learning as you help evolve our architecture and delivery practices for US clients in a remote, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• 5+ years of experience with Ruby.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS.
• 2+ years of experience with Microservices.
• 2+ years of experience with React.
• 1+ year of experience mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications and backend services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to translate requirements into clean code.
• Document architectures and diagrams to communicate designs across teams.
• Lead and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• Participate in interviews and help grow the engineering team.
• Stay current with development tools and best practices to improve code quality.
