Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails and relational databases; ability to design and optimize scalable data models and APIs.
• Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in production.
• Experience across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Experience leveraging AI to build or improve product features.
• Ability to handle complex tasks and ambiguity without guidance.
• Strong understanding of business trade-offs and clear communication of risks and benefits.
• You live and work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and deliver complex features and systems in Ruby on Rails, Postgres, GraphQL, and REST, with occasional React/React Native.
• Lead efforts to address technical debt and improve system reliability.
• Evolve architecture and drive long-term improvements across services.
• Set high standards for code quality, testing coverage, and documentation; mentor others.
• Improve internal tooling, CI/CD, and monitoring to enhance developer experience.
• Facilitate technical discussions and guide decision-making.
• Act as escalation point for complex challenges and unblock progress.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape feature direction.
