Job summary

SearchApi, LLC is seeking a senior Staff Product Engineer (Ruby on Rails) to become the technical backbone of our product. You will own the hardest PRs, raise the bar for the codebase, and eventually alleviate the CEO's technical load through shipping production code across features and platforms.

This non-managerial, hands-on role demands deep Rails proficiency, system design acumen, and a bias for speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails and modern web architectures.
• Proven track record shipping production Rails apps.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration.
• BSc or higher in CS or equivalent technical field.

Responsibilities

• Own the hardest PRs with senior judgment and ensure high quality code.
• Review other engineers' PRs and mentor through code review.
• Build enterprise features such as SAML, SCIM, audit logs, and permissions.
• Work on billing and payments, including Stripe integrations and subscriptions.
• Create and iterate on product features and the developer experience.
• Develop in-house algorithms and optimize performance across the stack.
• Maintain security standards and stay current with Rails and AI developments.
