Job summary

Somewhere is a remote, Canada-based marketing tech startup that powers a content-driven affiliate network with 600+ global partners. We are seeking a senior, product-minded full-stack Ruby on Rails engineer to collaborate with our CTO and help scale our affiliate platform.

You will own and ship production-ready features across a small engineering team, focusing on user experience, pragmatic engineering, and robust code quality.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional Ruby on Rails experience.
• Deep familiarity with Turbo, Hotwire, Stimulus, and Minitest.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including query optimization and schema design.
• Redis experience for caching and background jobs.
• Track record of building, testing, and maintaining production applications end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine full-stack Rails applications across the stack.
• Develop affiliate tracking, analytics dashboards, and billing features.
• Collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams in a North American startup environment.
• Ensure security, data integrity, and scalable deployments.
