Job summary

ERM is hiring Land Agents across Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois to support pipeline and electric transmission projects. The role focuses on acquiring land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and related documents to enable project construction, operation, and maintenance.

It is a full-time, limited-term field position lasting 2.5 months, with travel to remote locations anticipated. Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of ROW experience, familiarity with real estate practices, and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 3–5 years of ROW experience.
• Oil & Gas or diversified energy experience preferred.
• Notary license preferred
• Real estate license preferred
• Solid PC skills: MS Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS, data management software.
• Knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Ability to work in remote locations for long periods.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with landowners or designees.
• Settle complex damage claims related to construction.
• Search records to determine ownership and interests.
• Establish range of fair market values for land acquisitions.
• Draft or supervise documents for rights of entry, leases, licenses, permits, options.
• Adhere to corporate health and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as required.
