Job summary

ERM is hiring Right of Way (ROW) Agents across multiple locations in the U.S. to support pipeline and electric transmission project efforts.

ROW Agents will acquire land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits and related documents for project construction, operation and maintenance, with 100% travel and field-based work. These revolving/on-going positions require strong negotiation, knowledge of land values, and the ability to work remotely for extended periods.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of ROW experience or equivalent field experience.
• Solid knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Ability to work in remote locations for long periods; willingness to travel extensively.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate diverse settlements with land owners or designees.
• Manage settlements for damage claims related to construction projects.
• Search records to determine ownership and interests.
• Assist in establishing fair market values for land acquisitions.
• Prepare documents for rights of entry, easements, leases, permits, and related instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and project requirements.
