Job summary

ERM is hiring Land Agents across Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois to support pipeline and electric transmission projects. ROW Agents will handle land acquisition, licenses, leases, permits and related documents necessary for construction and operation of facilities.

The position is full-time (40+ hours) for 2.5 months, field-based and extendable. Candidates should have 3–5 years of ROW experience and strong negotiation skills. Notary and real estate licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years ROW experience.
• Notary license preferred and real estate license preferred.
• Ability to work in remote locations for long periods.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Proficient with computers and data management software.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with landowners for land and rights acquisitions.
• Settle complex damage claims related to construction.
• Search records to determine property ownership and interests.
• Assist in establishing fair market values for acquisitions.
• Prepare documents for rights of entry, easements, leases, permits, options.
• Adhere to corporate health and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
