Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, seeks an experienced Engineer to support Rotors design within the Compression Systems Engineering team. You will lead design efforts for Fan/LPC hardware and collaborate across disciplines to drive improvements and address production challenges.

The role emphasizes production support, engineering changes, and coordination with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers. Onsite location at East Hartford; internal applicants within Engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 5+ years of Mechanical Design engineering experience
• Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience
• Experience with aerospace hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Support a Commercial throughout the mature production phase and support Module level and Part Level questions for Fan and LPC hardware
• Support the existing PW1500G and PW1900G fleet through production support, development engine build support, fleet support, and hardware redesign
• Identifying areas to expand tolerances, improve part produce ability, support MFG process with our Vendors, and executing Engineering changes as needed
• Support Production and devl Quality Notifications including, creating PPT packages, executing non-conformance analysis, working with required disciplines to determine acceptability, disposition, documentation, and QN closure
