Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support Rotors design within the Military Development Fan/LPC Design team. The role will provide a design lead for Rotors and work with the team to drive improvements, address technical issues, support production ramp, and engage with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience or an MS with 3+ years. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 5+ years of mechanical design experience OR
• MS with 3+ years of experience
• Experience with aerospace hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information

Responsibilities

• Support Rotors design and provide design lead for Fan/LPC and related areas
• Assist production ramp, address technical issues, and drive cross-discipline collaboration
• Engage with IPT to implement engineering changes and improve tolerances
• Support QN and manufacturing changes and related documentation
