Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, seeks a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to design components for Fan/LPC and HPC modules, support MCE fleets, and drive cost-effective, high-quality solutions. You will lead design efforts across cycles, review layouts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet program objectives.

Candidates must have a strong background in mechanical design, blueprints, and manufacturing methods, with US citizenship required.

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 8+ years of mechanical design experience.
Or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
Experience with hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods.
Experience with engineering standard work and Class I/II EC process.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Design across all phases of the design cycle from preliminary to detailed design, validation, manufacturing, and service.
Support existing MCE fleets by improving component commonality and repairability.
Develop layouts, sketches, and notes to present design proposals and review layouts for clarity and accuracy.
Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure project completion and provide technical leadership as needed.
