Job summary

RTX is seeking a proactive Principal Project Engineer to lead a large Rotors Integrated Product Team in Compression Systems Engineering within Pratt & Whitney. The selected candidate will provide leadership to the Fan Module team for Advanced Military Engines and be responsible for program task execution.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks, and ensure budget and schedule adherence. This onsite role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance;

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead a team as IPTL to meet task and technical requirements.
• Communicate status and technical content to CIPT and upper management.
• Perform Control Account Manager duties for budget and schedule tracking.
• Integrate and manage part-level activities with procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Perform risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Travel up to 10%.
