Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Class II or Class III medical devices is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and product development lifecycle (V-model, waterfall, Agile).
• Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama, Polarion).
• Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of systems engineering for a complex robotic platform, including architecture definition and requirements development.
• Own end-to-end requirements lifecycle with traceability from user needs to verification and validation.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, controls, mechanical, clinical, and V&V teams.
• Lead system architecture development and ensure safe integration of hardware, software, and mechanical domains.
• Lead system-level risk management per ISO 14971 and verify risk controls.
