Qualifikationen

• Five+ years of experience developing electromechanical hardware.
• Experience designing robotic manipulators, actuated joints, transmissions, or comparable mechanisms.
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Expert proficiency with a major CAD platform and product-data-management workflow.
• Experience taking hardware from concept through prototype, testing, and validation.
• Hands-on experience building, assembling, troubleshooting, and improving physical systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and design for manufacturability.
• Ability to work effectively across mechanical, electrical, controls, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop robotic mechanisms from early concepts through validated prototypes.
• Design actuated joints, transmissions, structures, end effectors, and manipulation hardware.
• Integrate motors, bearings, sensors, actuators, and structural components into compact assemblies.
• Perform detailed machine design, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Build and test prototypes in a hands-on laboratory environment; investigate failures and implement improvements.
• Validate performance, durability, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Develop engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and assembly documentation.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, firmware, software, and manufacturing engineers.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to move prototypes toward production.
• Make informed design tradeoffs involving weight, strength, packaging, cost, and performance.
