Job summary

Amazon Robotics seeks a Senior Sensor & Compute System Engineer to own end-to-end system Definition for sensing and edge compute. You will bridge customer needs with product strategy, architect cross-domain solutions, and influence roadmaps across teams.

You will lead architecture choices, evaluate platforms, and mentor engineers while delivering real-time perception at the edge in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics.
• Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems, or leading and influencing teams.
• Experience defining requirements and prioritizing features with stakeholders.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, sensor development, edge computing, or related roles.
• Proven track record of leading customer-facing technical engagements.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer relationship as the senior technical point of contact for sensing and compute.
• Define sensor and compute product roadmaps and prioritize features.
• Lead system architecture across optical, electrical, mechanical, firmware, and edge compute.
• Drive architecture for real-time perception and edge processing within constraints.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence cross-functional teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics

Master's degree or above in engineering, physics, or equivalent
