Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and scale perception and state estimation software powering our robotics platforms. You will own the full software lifecycle—from architecture to deployment—ensuring real-time performance on embedded hardware.

You will build robust data pipelines for multi-sensor data, collaborate with applied scientists and hardware engineers, and drive operational excellence with testing, monitoring, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time perception and state estimation software.
• Build scalable data pipelines for multi-sensor data.
• Develop deployment infrastructure for embedded hardware and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect interfaces within the robot autonomy stack.
• Optimize performance under latency, memory, and power constraints.
• Build and maintain testing frameworks and simulation environments.
• Provide on-call support and drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate with scientists to productionize research prototypes.
