Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the research and development of sensor and compute technologies powering robotic systems for the Fulfillment network. You will work with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and validate embedded software and device drivers, enabling AI at the edge and influencing system architecture.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, mentorship, and collaboration with hardware, software, and operations teams to deliver

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience
5+ years in programming with at least one language
5+ years leading design or architecture of systems
2+ years contributing to system architecture and design
BA/BS/MS/PhD in CS/CE or related discipline
High proficiency with C/C++
6+ years embedded software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

Research emerging sensor technologies and evaluate applications in Amazon fulfillment network.
Collaborate with hardware, software, test and operations teams and third-party suppliers on sensor and compute development.
Architect system design, define requirements, write specifications and create test plans.
Design and develop full stack embedded software including drivers and applications for AI on Edge Computing.
Advise internal teams on sensor stack design and integration.
Assist product release to manufacturing and deployment.
