Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the research and development of sensor and compute technologies powering robotic systems for the Fulfillment network. You will work with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and validate embedded software and device drivers, enabling AI at the edge and influencing system architecture.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, mentorship, and collaboration with hardware, software, and operations teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years in programming with at least one language
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of systems
• 2+ years contributing to system architecture and design
• BA/BS/MS/PhD in CS/CE or related discipline
• High proficiency with C/C++
• 6+ years embedded software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

• Research emerging sensor technologies and evaluate applications in Amazon fulfillment network.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, test and operations teams and third-party suppliers on sensor and compute development.
• Architect system design, define requirements, write specifications and create test plans.
• Design and develop full stack embedded software including drivers and applications for AI on Edge Computing.
• Advise internal teams on sensor stack design and integration.
• Assist product release to manufacturing and deployment.
