Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the technical strategy for on-premise compute and storage infrastructure across its first, middle, and last mile operations. The role drives scalable infrastructure to support robotics and fulfillment centers and partners with multiple teams to translate business needs into architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in compute/storage/infra domains.
• 3+ years design/implementation in applications & infrastructures.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience in compute and storage server architecture for large scale applications.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, or related technology domains.
• 3+ years of experience in solution architecture for large-scale environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across first, middle, and last mile operations to understand on-premise compute and storage requirements, anticipate future needs, and identify gaps between current capabilities and business direction
• Evaluate market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor solutions in the compute and storage space to inform architectural decisions
• Assist with developing forward-looking infrastructure strategies that proactively address evolving GenAI, robotics, and edge computing demands, ensuring teams are ahead of business expansion rather than reactive to it
• Design reference architectures for on-premise compute and storage that are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with operational requirement
• Partner with robotics, software, and operations teams to ensure infrastructure solutions
• Assist with new use cases and workload patterns
• Translate complex infrastructure and technology decisions into clear recommendations for leadership audiences
