Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking a Roadway Senior Project Manager to support our Texas Southwest Region, with positions in Austin, El Paso, Houston, and other TX cities.

The role requires leading pavement projects and ensuring TxDOT compliance. You will manage project execution, monitoring, and control, develop PEPs, lead kickoff meetings, coordinate with clients and teams, review invoices, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• PE license in Texas.
• 15+ years of TxDOT-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a Project Execution Plan (PEP) with project team and schedule.
• Holds a project kick-off meeting and reviews progress.
• Ensures quality control reviews are documented.
• Notifies accounting for closure and retains files per policy.
• Maintains direct client contact for technical and scheduling issues.
• Prepares monthly progress reports and reviews revenue and AR/WIP.
