Volkert Inc. is actively seeking a Senior Roadway Project Engineer to support our Southwest Region with offices in Houston, Austin, El Paso, McKinney, Round Rock or Tyler, TX. The role requires a minimum of 10 years in roadway design and a PE license.

You will lead project designs, coordinate with subconsultants and direct engineers to deliver transportation and civil design projects while adhering to DOT expectations and budgets.

Qualificações

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• 10+ years of roadway design experience.
• PE license is required.
• Experience with DOT design methods, plan preparation, standards and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Familiarity with calculating plans quantities and engineering estimates, developing construction specifications, and coordinating with subconsultants.
• Lead or assist in development of project designs and direct EIs and designers to deliver project work.
• Apply established engineering techniques, procedures, policies or standards.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs.
• Collaborate with clients and team to deliver transportation and civil design projects.
• Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members.
• Attend team meetings and manage detailed engineering assignments including calculations.
