Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Roadway Senior Project Manager to support our Southwest Region in multiple TX locations, including Tyler. The role emphasizes project execution, monitoring, and control, with a focus on delivering quality, on-time results for TxDOT projects.

You will lead teams, liaise with clients, review financials, and drive business development while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• PE in Texas is required.
• 15+ years of experience using TxDOT processes, manuals, or guidance.
• Proficient with OpenRoads Designer.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and have a valid driver's license with MVR.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a Project Execution Plan (PEP) with team roles, tasks, schedule and manpower estimates.
• Holds kickoff meetings and ensures quality control reviews are documented.
• Maintains client contact, conducts staff meetings and monthly progress reviews.
• Reviews revenue, A/R and WIP, and supports invoicing and budget control.
