Volkert, Inc. is seeking a Roadway Senior Project Manager to support the Southwest Region in Texas. The role requires 15+ years of TxDOT experience, a Texas PE, and proficiency with OpenRoads Designer. Location options include Austin, El Paso, Houston, McKinney, Rockwall, Round Rock, San Antonio, or Tyler.

You will lead project execution, monitoring, and control activities, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and client satisfaction while coordinating with internal teams and management.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• PE in Texas.
• 15+ years of relevant experience utilizing TxDOT specific processes, manuals, or guidance.
• Proficient with OpenRoads Designer.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Prepares a Project Execution Plan (PEP) with project team and schedule.
• Holds project kick-off meetings and reviews progress with clients.
• Ensures Quality Control reviews and documentation.
• Maintains client contact and coordinates monthly reviews and invoicing.
• Reviews and manages scope, budgets, and change orders as needed.
