Job summary

The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing staff in a long-term care setting. This role requires oversight of shifts, medication administration, and ensuring high standards of resident care.

Applicants must have a Florida RN license, CPR certification, and prior supervisory experience in long-term care. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required. Strong communication and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR certification.
• Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nursing license.
• Must have supervisory experience in a long-term care facility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality professional care to veteran residents.
• Administer medications and treatments per MD orders.
• Supervise RN, LPN, CNA and other staff on assigned shift.
• Ensure nursing staff follow job descriptions and residents receive total nursing care.
• Review shift assignments to meet residents' care needs.
• Maintain documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Notify Administrator/DON of emergencies and incidents.
• Participate in improving policies and procedures.
