Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor for our State Veterans’ Nursing Homes in Saint Augustine. The role leads nursing staff, ensures quality care, and maintains regulatory compliance within a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing personnel, administering medications, and coordinating care plans under the DON/Executive Nursing Director.

Qualifikationen

• Florida RN licensure required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Weekend/holiday shifts required.
• 3+ years in long-term care.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background check and drug test completed.
• Staff development/in-service training experience.
• MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Aufgaben

• Provide quality professional care to veteran residents per SOP and Nurse Practice Act.
• Administer medications and treatments per MD orders; document resident status.
• Supervise RN, LPN, CNA and others; ensure shift assignments are posted.
• Coordinate floor coverage and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Notify Administrator/DON of emergencies; perform rounds and assess needs.
• Maintain time sheets and payroll; discipline as per policy.
• Review telephone orders; ensure RN review of orders.
• Provide CPR when necessary.
• Assist in Care Plan meetings; ensure timely documentation.
• Maintain supplies, equipment; ensure clean, safe environment.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement programs.
