Job summary
BMO Capital Markets is seeking a senior trader for the Securitized Credit Trading desk in Global Markets, focusing on secondary RMBS. You will manage the non-Agency RMBS trading, provide liquidity, and work with origination and securitization teams to support client solutions.
The role requires 10+ years in fixed income trading, strong mortgage credit knowledge, and licenses (SIE, Series 7, 63). Base location is New York; comprehensive compensation includes health, incentives, and retirement
Qualifications
- 10+ years in Fixed Income trading, with focus on non-Agency RMBS.
- Leadership experience; ability to develop and retain top performers.
- Deep mortgage credit knowledge: collateral analysis, prepayment/default/severity.
Responsibilities
- Manage secondary trading for non-Agency RMBS including inventory, hedging, P&L, risk limits.
- Facilitate client flow and liquidity as agent and principal.
- Support origination and securitization by providing liquidity and transparency.
- Collaborate with sales to deliver market insights and liquidity.
- Build relationships with institutional clients and expand reach.
- Leverage market knowledge to provide commentary and trade ideas.
- Coordinate with Head of Trading and Risk Management on risk controls.
- Comply with regulatory rules and internal policies.
