Job summary

BMO Capital Markets in New York seeks a senior trader on the Securitized Credit Trading desk within Global Markets, focusing on secondary trading of Non-Agency RMBS. You will deliver client-focused trading solutions and support origination and securitization efforts.

The role requires leadership, deep mortgage credit knowledge, and a proven Fixed Income trading track record. You will collaborate with sales, risk management, and clients to provide liquidity, market insight, and efficient

Qualifications

10+ years in a Fixed Income trading role, with focus on non-Agency RMBS
Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
Deep mortgage credit knowledge and deal structure understanding
Extensive knowledge of capital markets activity and trading procedures
Regulatory rules and guidelines familiarity
SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses required

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the Secondary Trading for non-Agency RMBS, including inventory, hedging, P&L, risk limits, repo pricing, and distribution
Facilitate client flow and provide liquidity by trading both as agent and principal
Support origination and securitization via liquidity and transparency in the secondary market
Collaborate with sales to deliver market insight and liquidity to clients
Build and maintain relationships with institutional clients and expand reach
Provide market commentary and trade ideas using macro and RMBS knowledge
Communicate with Head of Trading and Risk Management to manage principal risk within limits
Adhere to regulatory and firm compliance guidelines
