Job summary

BMO Capital Markets is seeking a senior trader for the Securitized Credit Trading desk in Global Markets, focusing on secondary trading of non‑Agency RMBS. You will interface with institutional clients, provide liquidity, and support origination and securitization initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in Fixed Income trading, deep mortgage credit knowledge, and strong regulatory and risk discipline. This role offers exposure to a global client base and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

10+ years in Fixed Income trading, preferably non‑Agency RMBS
Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
Deep knowledge of mortgage credit, collateral analysis and deal structure
Extensive knowledge of capital markets activity and trading procedures/regulatory rules
SIE, Series 7, Series 63 licenses required
Strong quantitative, communication and client service skills

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of secondary trading for non‑Agency RMBS, incl. inventory, hedging, P&L
Facilitate client flow and provide liquidity as agent and principal
Support origination and securitization via liquidity and transparency in secondary market
Collaborate with sales to provide market insight and liquidity to institutional clients
Build and maintain relationships with a broad client base and expand reach
Provide market commentary and trade ideas using RMBS market knowledge
