Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Risk Manager for the Absolute Control Team to drive modernization of risk processes, including AI-enabled control testing and analytics. You will collaborate with Operations, Tech, and Product to implement sophisticated risk solutions and manage ongoing control execution while meeting SLAs.

You will lead cross-functional projects, mentor teams, and contribute to continuous improvement across the risk framework.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Process Management, Project Management, or Risk Management.
• At least 3 years of experience in Control Execution, Control Testing, or Process Improvement.
• At least 2 years of experience leading cross-functional projects or acting as an indirect team lead/senior contributor.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-faceted process improvement projects for control testing, including AI to optimize authoring, repair, and dashboards.
• Design, evolve, and maintain digital ecosystems, tools, templates, and job aids for governance and analytics.
• Create engaging video content and multimedia resources using AI to explain risk concepts and train teams.
• Build cross-functional relationships and drive change management roadmaps across stakeholders.
• Interpret data from control monitoring to develop actionable recommendations and improve risk metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, Operations, and Enterprise Risk to implement new controls and products.
