Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks a Senior Risk Advisor to provide audit and advisory services across the organization’s subsidiaries, focusing on financial and entity-level risks and internal controls. Reporting to the Financial Audit & MAR Manager, you will design, implement, and monitor effective controls.

You will lead walkthroughs, perform testing, develop advisory plans, mentor management, and produce high-quality audit reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist Audit Manager in performing audit and advisory engagements related to key organizational initiatives such as business acquisitions and corporate synergies.
• Utilize COSO internal control framework to assist management in design and monitoring of entity-level controls at subsidiaries.
• Analyze organizational and financial processes to identify risks, gaps, and mitigation strategies; provide management with recommendations.
