Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks a Senior Risk Advisor to provide audit and advisory services across subsidiaries, focusing on financial, strategic, and entity-level risks and controls. You will partner with management to strengthen internal controls and governance, reporting to the Financial Audit & MAR Manager.

You’ll use the COSO framework, lead walkthroughs, perform testing, and deliver high-quality audit reports while training management on risk identification and mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree as required.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit and advisory engagements related to acquisitions and corporate synergies.
• Apply COSO framework to design, implement, and monitor entity-level controls.
• Analyze processes to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and advise management.
• Document processes, risks, controls, and testing procedures.
• Provide training and guidance on risk identification and mitigation to management.
• Lead ad-hoc audits, report findings, and develop action plans.
• Develop corrective action plans and validate remediation actions.
