Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Project Analyst to build and track project pacing by vendor and lead cross-platform forecasting across the project portfolio. This role partners with Finance on capacity planning, headcount, and downtime to provide leadership with data-driven visibility into project health and resource needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of related analytics experience.
• Strong Excel skills with formulas, pivots, and models.
• Experience with BI/visualization tools (Sigma/Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
• Experience building forecasting and capacity models.
• Experience partnering with FP&A on headcount modeling.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pacing trackers for vendor performance and project milestones.
• Develop forecasting models for volume, timelines, and staffing.
• Collaborate with Finance on capacity planning and downtime.
• Create dashboards and reports for leadership visibility.
• Identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support scenario planning and staffing analyses.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendor management, and finance.
• Improve tracking methodologies and forecasting accuracy.
• Analyze vendor throughput against forecast and flag variances.
• Document forecasting methodologies and data sources.
• Present findings to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support headcount planning with Finance and Operations.
• Monitor downtime and utilization trends in forecasts.
• Maintain data integrity across forecasting tools.
• Develop standardized reporting templates across projects.
• Handle ad hoc finance/operations analyses.
• Track project risk indicators and escalation points.
• Contribute to process improvements in tracking and forecasting.
• Business travel up to 10%.
