Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Project Analyst to lead project pacing and forecasting across vendor partnerships. The role partners with Finance to build capacity models, plan headcount, and provide leadership with data-driven visibility into project health.

You will design dashboards using Excel and BI tools, track risks, and drive continuous improvements in forecasting accuracy while coordinating with project managers, vendor management, and finance stakeholders. Remote-friendly team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or five years of equivalent experience in analytics.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas and modeling.
• Experience with BI tools (Sigma/Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
• Experience building forecasting and capacity planning models.
• Experience partnering with FP&A or Finance on headcount planning.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pacing trackers to monitor progress, milestones, and timelines by vendor.
• Develop multi-platform forecasting models to project volume, timelines, and resourcing for concurrent projects.
• Partner with Finance to build capacity planning models including headcount and downtime planning.
• Design dashboards and reports (Excel/Sigma or similar BI tools) for real-time leadership visibility.
• Identify trends, bottlenecks, and risks in vendor performance and recommend corrective action.
• Support scenario planning and what-if modeling for staffing decisions.
• Collaborate with project managers, vendor management, and finance stakeholders to align assumptions.
• Improve tracking methodologies and forecasting accuracy over time.
• Analyze vendor throughput and capacity against forecast, flag variances.
• Maintain documentation of forecasting methodologies and data sources for auditability.
• Present pacing, forecasting, and capacity findings to leadership.
• Support headcount and staffing plan reviews with Finance and Operations.
• Monitor downtime and utilization trends, incorporate into forecasts.
• Maintain data integrity across pacing, forecasting and capacity tools.
• Assist in development of standardized reporting templates across projects and vendors.
• Support ad hoc analysis requests from Finance, Operations, and executives.
• Track project risk indicators and concerns.
• Contribute to process improvements in project tracking and forecasting.
• Business travel as needed (up to 10%).
