Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead RF hardware architecture, integration, and validation for multi‑transceiver systems powering mission‑critical devices such as body‑worn cameras. You will shape RF strategy, select chipsets, and drive design from concept through certification and mass production.

This hybrid role reports to a hardware team and requires collaboration with antenna, mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded wireless hardware and/or RF electronics design with a technical degree.
• Experience with chip-down RF design and board-level integration of wireless transceivers/modems.
• Experience with multiple wireless technologies (LTE/5G, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS) and RF front ends.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging with RF test equipment, and conducting RF validation.

Responsibilities

• Own board-level RF design and integration across mission-critical wireless systems.
• Translate requirements into wireless hardware architectures and select suitable chipsets and components.
• Develop and review schematics and PCB layouts for transceivers and front‑end circuitry.
• Design for RF coexistence, desense, interference, EMI/EMC, and antenna integration.
• Lead bring-up, characterization, debugging, and root-cause analysis with test equipment.
• Drive certification, regulatory approvals, and mass production readiness.
• Provide technical leadership across chipset vendors, ODMs/JDMs, and internal teams.
