Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks an Applications Engineer‑I for the Sales Engineering team in Irvine, CA. You will design and test complete solutions, assist with product development, and provide technical support to customers and the Sales team.

Travel up to 25% and in‑person support at customer sites are expected. The role requires a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, strong communication, and the ability to work independently with cross‑functional groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
• Ability to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and perform at customer sites.
• U.S. Citizenship due to government contracts and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Design and test complete solutions that solve unique technical problems.
• Define new products and features and evaluate field performance.
• Provide support to customers and the sales team via troubleshooting and analysis.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to address critical escalations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for field testing and validation.
• Test and harden features through firmware and hardware changes.
• Create customer‑facing documents to support customers and sales.
• Travel up to 25% for demos, troubleshooting, and training.
