Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Diego is seeking an experienced RF Engineer to lead planning and execution of NRE budgets for development and RDE projects. You will collaborate with program management to meet schedules and drive integration across RF, mechanical, and test disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, sciences or math).
• 5 years of engineering experience in a project-based environment.
• Expertise in RF/Microwave subsystem design and related modeling/verification.
• Familiarity with project tools such as scheduling and budgeting systems.
• Knowledge of technical standards, principles and problem-solving techniques.
• Negotiation, commercial acumen and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of NRE budgets and deliverables for development/RDE projects.
• Collaborate with program management to meet schedules and budgets.
• Develop project planning documents (IMS, IP plans, resource/risk matrices).
• Support EAC reporting and baseline change requests with PM inputs.
• Build and manage a cross-functional program team representing customer and business interests.
• Manage RF subsystem development across RF, mechanical, manufacturing and test.
• Interface with Executive Staff and PM leadership on Design execution.
• Provide direction, run trade studies, and lead design reviews and anomaly resolution.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specs and validate SDRLs.
