Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA, is hiring a Senior RF Phased Array Engineer to lead development of RF products and assess COTS components. You’ll model antenna performance, guide an interdisciplinary team, and transition designs to production in a fast-paced environment.

You have 5+ years in RF engineering, strong link-budget and interference knowledge, and a track record delivering space-ready RF systems. This role includes extensive collaboration with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Fundamental RF knowledge including link budget analysis and linearity.
• Experience running modeling and simulation of antenna/phased array performance.
• Deep understanding of interference effects on RF systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RF phased array development, including architecture, prototyping, integration, test, and flight development.
• Model and simulate array performance across current programs and proposals.
• Lead efforts with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers.
• Transition developments from NPI to production.
• Interface with vendors and customers.
• Develop test plans for active antennas, including EIRP and G/T.
• Design and develop GSE and production automation.
• Support product documentation including ICDs and user manuals.
