Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior RF Phased Array Engineer I to lead RF product development and antenna performance modeling. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams from design through production, interface with vendors and customers, and drive test plans for active antennas, EIRP/G/T calculations, and documentation.

Base Pay Range CA: 130k–170k USD. Join a fast-paced space systems group delivering spacecraft and satellite components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or RF communications.
• 5+ years of relevant RF experience.
• Fundamental RF knowledge including link budget analysis and linearity.
• Experience modeling and simulating antenna/phas ed array performance.
• Understanding of RF system design and interference effects.
• Experience delivering RF products for space

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, prototyping, integration, test and flight development.
• Model and simulate array performance.
• Lead an interdisciplinary RF/digital/power/mechanical team.
• Interface with vendors and customers; production transition.
• Develop test plans for active antennas (EIRP & G/T).
• Design and development of GSE and production automation.
• Support product documentation including ICDs and manuals.
• Drive proposals and requirements specifications for new capabilities.
• Support reviews (PDRs/CDRs/TRRs) and customer engagements.
• Maintain awareness of schedules to satisfy customer needs.
