Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Baltimore is seeking a Staff Engineer RF Microwave Design to lead the Hardware Design Team and drive RF/microwave hardware product development through the full lifecycle. You will partner with mechanical, manufacturing, test and IC design teams to progress designs for critical reviews and milestones.

The role prefers an engineering background with experience leading small teams, familiarity with AESA subsystem hardware, and proficiency in Keysight ADS, Xpedition and HFSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable STEM degree with 12+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Familiar with RF/Microwave modeling, simulation and PCB design tools (Keysight ADS, Xpedition, HFSS).
• Drafting and design experience in PCB design for fabrication and PWB layer stack up for digital, RF and mixed signal CCAs.
• Experience with test and troubleshoot from component to assembly levels.
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Hardware Design Team to advance RF/Microwave hardware products.
• Oversee RF, microwave, and mixed-signal assembly design and verification.
• Mentor engineers and conduct senior peer reviews.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, Test, and IC design engineers.
• Support design lifecycle from development to test.
