Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer for an onsite Tucson, AZ role. You will design transmitters, receivers and exciters, assemble RF CCAs, and validate modules in a lab setting. The position requires coordinating with power, digital and mechanical teams to meet stringent performance goals.

Qualified candidates typically hold a STEM bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of RF design experience and must be able to obtain interim DoD security clearance prior to start date.

Qualifications

• >=Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant RF design experience including RF design/fabrication, RF test, and simulation.
• >Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government security clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals
• Work in a lab to characterize components and verify modules
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware
• Schematic capture and RF routing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.
