Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced RF design engineer for an onsite Tucson, AZ role focused on RF/microwave hardware for missile programs. You will design transmitters, receivers, and exciters, create CCAs for RF/mixed signals, and validate modules in a lab environment while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

A Bachelor’s in STEM and 10+ years of RF experience are typical. Must be able to obtain interim DoD clearance and eventually program access. Relocation may be offered based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience including RF design and fabrication, RF test and troubleshoot, and RF simulations.
• Experience with HFSS or equivalent simulation tools is required.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government security clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design of CCAs with RF or mixed signals.
• Lab work for component characterization and module verification/integration.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Collaborate with power, digital, mechanical teams.
