Job summary

RTX seeks a senior RF Design Engineer for on-site work in Tucson, AZ to design transmitters, receivers, and RF modules for DoD programs. This role requires active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim clearance.

You will collaborate with power, digital, and mechanical teams, perform hands-on RF testing, schematic capture, and CCAs design in a lab environment, contributing to device verification and integration.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with RF design and fabrication, RF testing and troubleshooting, and RF product simulation.
• Experience with RF design tools: Mentor DX Designer, HFSS, SystemVue/Genesys, ADS.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Work in a lab for component characterization and module verification and integration.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams - power, digital, mechanical, etc.
