Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal RF Design Engineer in Massachusetts to advance RF/Microwave system design for radar products and support the REPA department's mission.

The role emphasizes architecture development, hardware design, and hands-on testing of RF subsystems, with cross-functional collaboration across power, digital, and mechanical teams. This is an on-site position with travel between MA sites anticipated.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, CST, and/or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition) and MATLAB.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Architecture development and requirements analysis for RF subsystems.
• Design and testing of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
• RF circuit design and optimization for components or subsystems.
• Collaborate with power, digital, and mechanical teams.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Support production during transition to manufacturing.
• Cost and schedule management and proposal writing.
• 100% on-site in MA with travel between sites.
