Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Revenue Cycle Coding Educator to serve as the subject matter expert for medical record coding and patient charge issues. You will educate clinicians and RI/HIM staff, design curricula, and lead audits to improve documentation and final coding for professional and technical services.

Responsibilities include creating an annual audit/education calendar, validating work by Mid Revenue Cycle Coding Educators, and onboarding new team members with sign-off

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care coding or related field with significant experience required.
• 6 years of health care coding with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS; plus 2 years of coding audit experience OR
• 8 years total with an Associate's degree and 2 extra years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and implement education curricula for coding and billing initiatives.
• Lead monthly audits and quality reviews to improve clinical documentation and coding accuracy.
• Review CMS changes and communicate impact to RI and HIM teams.
