Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Mid Revenue Cycle Coding Educator to design comprehensive education programs and lead audits that ensure compliant coding across professional and technical billing. You will develop curricula, oversee CMS impact analysis, and guide RI and HIM staff through training initiatives.

You will review educator outputs, coordinate onboarding, and sustain a structured 90-day sign-off process to ensure new team members are fully integrated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years healthcare coding experience incl ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS.
• Or an Associate’s degree with 8 total years of experience as stated.
• Or a High School Diploma with 10 years of coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and implement education curricula for new processes.
• Create audits and annual quality review schedules with contingencies.
• Communicate CMS changes and impacts to RI/HIM teams.
• Conduct monthly audits to identify documentation and coding opportunities.
• Lead projects to improve clinical documentation and final coding.
• Review/approve work by Mid Revenue Cycle Coding Educators before venues.
• Approve education calendar and onboarding plans for new hires (90 days).
