Job summary

Qualifications

• Expertise in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding rules.
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines, MS-DRG/APR-DRG logic and related coding ethics.
• Ability to develop curricula and deliver training to multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and implement training curricula for new coding processes.
• Create audit and quality review schedules for the fiscal year with contingencies.
• Review CMS changes and communicate impact to RI and HIM operations.
• Lead projects to improve clinical documentation quality and final coding for billing.
• Approve education plans and onboard RI/HIM new team members.
