Job summary

Voya Financial, Inc. is seeking a Senior Advanced Markets Consultant in Retirement Services to provide regulatory expertise, consultative support, and strategic guidance on qualified retirement plan matters.

You will interpret IRC, ERISA, and state laws to resolve complex inquiries and support business initiatives with internal and external stakeholders. You will act as an SME on plan design, compliance, and documentation, while advising sponsors, and offering remediation strategies and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience with qualified retirement plans.
• Experience interpreting IRC and ERISA in operations, consulting, or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of retirement plan compliance, operations, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to translate technical concepts into practical guidance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and interpret IRC, ERISA, and state retirement plan laws to provide accurate consultative support.
• Serve as SME on qualified retirement plans including plan design, compliance, correction methodologies, and documentation considerations.
• Provide technical guidance to internal partners, clients, and sponsors regarding retirement plan regulatory requirements.
• Support sponsors using Voya's pre-approved retirement plan document program.
• Recommend remediation strategies and plan design alternatives balancing regulatory requirements and client objectives.
• Consult on complex retirement plan issues involving mergers, controlled groups, affiliated service groups, corporate transactions, and plan terminations.
• Provide expertise on fiduciary responsibilities, governance, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Develop communications regarding legislative, regulatory, and industry developments impacting retirement plans.
